Update: Bessie is a big, soft girl and loves, loves, loves her people. She is a typical playful pup but goes belly up in an instant to get some loving. Bessie has learned to love the little swimming pool on hot days so she will probably be great camping/hiking/outdoorsy type family dog. She knows the doggy door and potty pads and is doing excellent with both.

“We are Fam-ill-Lee, la la la la la with me” is all I can remember of that tune that’s stuck in head.  Ever had that happen?   Being one little girl from a litter of nine my name is Bessie.  My Momma somehow lost me along with my 7 other siblings before 7 weeks of age.  That was scary and missing her was tough.  A lady found us, took us home, gave us yummy food, a real backyard to play in, doggy friends AND lots of love.  It’s not scary or lonesome anymore.  I’m a happy, playful, fun-loving pup who loves children and others dogs.  Cats might be okay too, but I haven’t met any yet.   I just know that you and I will be the “bestest” furever friends and companions ever.  You are just gonna’ have to take me with you to love and for me to love you back.  I will have Special Puppy Provisions when we go home together.  Can you hear that?  Why that’s you singing, “We are Fam-ill-Lee, gonna’ take lil' Bess-EE home with me”!  Where’s that water dish?  I need a few extra sips to make sure I can sing right along with you.  See you soon.
