Beavis is an amazing young dog young enough so he is trainable.  He is housebroken, sleeps wherever I put his blanket.  Walks on a leash, ignores other dogs when we go for walks no matter how much they bark.  He is friendly with other dogs but just chooses to ignore them in the distance.  He plays with the neighbor dog in our back yards, but also does a good job of entertaining himself if he is outside alone.  Doesn't dig, and before the fence got fixed if he got out he came to the front door.  He'd like to be a lap dog, a couch or chair dog, but minds when I tell him to get off.  He is loving, friendly, and loves his bones!  Can't get him to fetch a ball but he will catch a bone!  He needs a yard to play in, with his past I believe keeping him inside and crated would break his spirit which would be a sad thing.  Doesn't need to be a big yard, but definitely he needs outside run around time often.  He has scars from obvious abuse but doesn't act abused as long as he doesn't see you with a belt in your hand (my mistake getting undressed).  He absolutely does not like cats.  Well, he might like them--which is why he chases them--but I don't know what he'd do if he caught one and the cats don't appreciate him either!  He loves going for walks, has learned to sit before and after going in and out the door with leash on, stops at corners before going across with me.  He craves love and attention, is protective, and jumps right in the truck to go...anywhere.  I use kibble for treats, which he loves to earn! He is fantastic with kids, other dogs, neighbors, and loves to walk for miles. Don't let this boy slip away - fill out an application NOW!!!
