Update #2 10-16-11  Gracie gets her last HW treatment on the 19th. She will remain in rescue for 1-2 weeks after that and then she's READY. I can't say enough about how sweet, calm, gentle and loving this girl is. I'd keep her if I could - she's that great.

Update: Gracie is heart worm positive and will be going through treatment. She will have to stay in rescue for an extra month before she's completely healthy to join you in her new home. But please don't let that stop you from getting in your application for her early. She'll go quick.

Mamma Gracie was found out in a rural area and came into rescue with her 4 month old hound mix pup. Both were clean, tick and flea free, yet pretty skinny. They had no collars, tags or chips. Efforts were made to find their owner by driving adjoining neighborhoods and looking for postings on websites. It seemed unbelievable these two would be dumped. But that happens all too often. Gracie is very good with other dogs and loves her people and wants to please. She is housetrained and loves to snuggle with you on the couch. When it comes time to play, Gracie can run and romp with the best of them and there's nothing cuter then those giant ears flapping in the wind. Gracie has had babies more then once in her life but never again!!! She will be spayed, current on all vaccines and microchipped prior to adoption. Gracie would like a furever home to call her own where she will never be subjected to being dumped again.
